A New Chapter: Why It’s Okay to Start Over
Sometimes, It’s OK to acknowledge it’s time for changes.
A few years ago, I decided to start over. It wasn’t easy.
I closed my online business, deleted my social media accounts, and rebuilt from the ground up. At the time, it felt terrifying and maybe even foolish.
But now, looking back, it was one of the best decisions I ever made.
But as they say in the cop shows, “I had previous”
At 19, I walked away from a good job at a bank to travel Europe alone with nothing but a cheap backpack.
At 22, I joined the army.
At 42, I gave up a very well-paid corporate job and came to Spain with only a vague idea of what I would do.
But this isn’t just about me. It’s about you.
We live in a society that often rewards consistency. The idea of “sticking it out” is celebrated as if endurance itself is the ultimate measure of success. But what if you’re stuck in a life or business you no longer recognise or enjoy?
What if the things you once dreamed of are now the source of your stress? It’s okay to admit that something isn’t working.
It’s okay to start over.
