A marketing parable for our times

Let me tell you a story. Once upon a time, in the vast digital world of content marketing, two marketers went by the names of Steve and Dan. (The names have been changed to Protect the Innocent)

Both had vastly different approaches, goals, and beliefs about their roles as content marketers.

Meet Steve. Let’s call him “The Relationship-Builder.”

Steve, a compassionate and diligent writer, believed in the power of connection.

He held his subscribers in the highest regard and valued their trust above all else.

For Steve, income was a secondary concern.

His primary focus was aiding his audience and subscribers in achieving their goals.

His following might have been small, but the quality of the connections he established was unmatched.

His business was simple: he posted useful content and encouraged people who liked his content to subscribe to his list, where he continued to post great ideas and bring value to his subscribers.

Occasionally, he would promote his courses and memberships.
