Will You Let AI Make Your Life Easier?

AI has advanced leaps and bounds over the past 18 months; what was once “pretty naff” has become usable and frequently the better option.
As content creators, we are at a crossroads. AI is here to stay, and it will have a massive impact on our lives as creators.

Our choice is to embrace it and let it help us create better content or bury our heads in the sand and hope it goes away.

A writer contacted me recently and asked whether they should tell their client that AI created the work they had just signed off on.

It’s a difficult question to answer.

On the one hand, there’s the ethical argument: The client paid for an article, expecting the writer to spend hours researching and writing.

The counterargument is that they paid for the work, and that is what they got. They signed it off and were happy with it.

My reply was along the lines of:

“If you hired a lumberjack to cut down the tree in your garden blocking your view, you will be happy when it’s gone. You don’t mind if they used an axe or a chainsaw, as long as you get the desired result.”
