Have you noticed how hard it is to build an audience now?
That same audience you rely on for subscribers, comments, likes, sales, etc.
Without an audience, nothing happens, and you are shouting into the void. So, how can you build an audience with so much competition?
I remember when it was possible to build a large audience overnight on social media.
If I did a product launch for the two weeks before I launched, I would build an audience of people potentially interested in the offer I was preparing.
When it launched, I would run $1 ads to that audience and $1 retargeting ads. This was enough to guarantee a few thousand in sales.
Reality Check: that’s not going to work now!
Now that social media algorithms have become very sophisticated, as a creator starting out, you aren’t going to get the traction you need. It will be incredibly difficult to produce content that gets noticed without a high level of name recognition.
For example, in the past three weeks since joining Substack, Pamela Anderson has added 103K+ subscribers with just 3 posts. I’ve got 35 in a week!
