Your primary job as a Content Creator is to entertain your audience.

You may think you are there to sell or to improve their lives, but you aren’t. You are there to entertain.

If you entertain people, they will read more of your content and open more of your emails. You will then sell more and hopefully improve your audience's lives.

Your Ultimate Goal

Your ultimate goal should be having your audience wait for your content to arrive. When I was sending daily sales emails, I pictured my audience as a guy sitting in a cubicle in a boring office with a tedious job.

My email only had one job: take his mind off his surroundings for 5 minutes.

Those emails performed better than any I’ve sent since, simply because they were 99% focused on entertaining the reader, and then 1% was a link to an offer, which was almost an afterthought.
