Minimum Time/Maximum Income
When I first started Online marketing I worked for up to 14 hours a day 7 days a week.
I thought that was what you had to do.
I’ve since learned that the amount of hours you put into to your business rarely affects the income you generate.
In my experience, it’s far better to spend 20–30 minutes a day every day than trying to put a lot of hours in once or twice a week.
Consistent regular action is the way to go.
Learn to work smarter rather than working harder.
For example, this article was written in my head as I was walking back from the shops today, now it’s going to take me 10 -15 minutes to get those words down “on paper’
In the past I would have written a 2000-word blog post, instead, now I set myself a limit of 300 words, if this gets traction and people like it I can then take a few days to expand it into a blog post.
If that then gets traction I can maybe look at creating a YouTube video about the topic.
Where did the idea for this article come from?
A Tweet I wrote previously that took 30 seconds to write!
See what I mean about working smarter?
Start with the easiest option every time and use that to test if your audience responds to it, if they do… move on to the next step.
Tweet ⇒ Essay⇒ Email/Blog Post ⇒ Video
My daily routine is usually:
• Get up and head into town for coffee, here I’ll think of ideas for Tweets
• Write 3 Tweets and schedule them
• Head home and check my email
• Check stats and choose any tweets I should expand on in the future
• Maybe write an email or create content for my Inner Circle members
• Chill
Every month or two I might create new training based on what’s been working.
Work Smarter!
