Sometimes, it’s worth it!

Ok, Kids, My lawyers tell me I have to put this disclaimer before we start: Don’t Run With Scissors!

Right, we are sorted. If you run with scissors, fall and kill someone, it’s not my fault!

Firstly, actually running with scissors has very little to do with this article, but it’s early, and I haven’t had my coffee yet, so it seemed like a good title because we are going to discuss doing stupid stuff just to see what happens.

Follow The Rules

As a writer and content marketer, you are often given a list of rules to follow: "Don’t do this," "Do this," etc.

You get told that if you write a book, you should do a first draft, then rewrite and finally edit it several times.

If you write a free report you should “Sell The Sizzle” but not actually include much useful information.

A book landing page should have a “Blurb” that attracts your audience's attention.

A free report landing page would have a headline and very little else… keep the audience guessing so they have to download to “close the loop”.

Rules for this, rules for that.

Screw the Rules
