Story Based Marketing — Life In The S.L.O Lane

Many years ago when I was a learning how to market, things were hard, beans on toast 5 days a week hard.

Each month we were waiting for affiliate payments to arrive and knowing that if they didn’t bills wouldn’t get paid and we’d probably struggle to eat that month.

I’m not exagerating, sometime we were down to loose change waiting for a cheque to arrive from Clickbank ( it was that long ago!)

I then started to master a skill, a skill that took me from worrying where my next meal was coming from to living in a villa in Marbella, Spain, playing golf at some of the world’s nicest golf clubs twice a week, driving a Porsche and being an all round obnoxious arsehole.

Luckily it also quickly taught me how to be a nice person again!

What’s The Skill?

Writing simple story-based emails.

The first thing you need to realise is that stories don’t need to be long or actually “stories”.

You can talk about your last trip to the supermarket or how you got rid of all your emails in your inbox.

What they do need is something you can use as a lesson.
