You Shouldn’t Just Write A Quick Email

Would you like see some of the last words of a famous email marketer?

“Give me 5 Minutes, I need to bang out an email”

That was the last thing he is known to have said!

Emails can’t be rushed, the writing part might just take 10–15 minutes but the content needs to be though about and constructed.

I’ve not sent an email this week which is almost unheard of, the reason why is that I am still struggling to put my ideas into words and convey what I want.

I’d rather not send an email than to send one that doesn’t help the reader.

Emails can’t and shouldn’t be rushed.

Get one email wrong and you’ll lose your hard earned subscribers, get it right and they’ll be subscribers for life.

Every email you send, no matter the subject, should be thought about in-depth and planned. Set aside thinking time and write the emails in your head a few times before writing it.

Craft, don’t write each email, each word and sentence should perform a job.

You must think about each line and how it feeds into the next, think about how you can link the headline to the body and the body to the call to action.
