The Power Of Creating Habits
Create “Sneaky Habits” That Grow into Something Bigger
If you’ve read any of my previous content, you’ve probably heard me talk about how beneficial my morning walk to the local cafe has been.
It’s where I mentally write the day's content and work out what I will do for the rest of the day.
Except it’s recently changed… that daily walk to the cafe turned into a 90-minute walk along the beach, and today it’s turned into a 7km run (well, as much as someone with very little feeling in their left-hand side can run!)
It’s what I call a sneaky habit.
And I love these sneaky habits that sneak up on you.
Sneaky Writing Habits.
My writing habit is the perfect example of a sneaky habit. Two years ago, I committed to writing ONE tweet a day.
Sometimes, it was a struggle to even do that, but I stuck at it, and it got easier. Before long, that tweet was easy; I didn’t need to think about it.
I then committed to expanding that short-form content into a weekly long-form article.
