The Power of Tiny Businesses

In the world of online marketing, success doesn’t have to rely on massive undertakings or a single, risky business model.

Instead, a more sustainable approach is gaining traction, tiny businesses.

These are small, independent ventures that require minimal input yet deliver consistent income, providing a low-risk path to financial freedom.

What Are Tiny Businesses?

Tiny businesses are bite-sized ventures designed to run with minimal time and effort. They are self-sufficient, avoiding reliance on single points of failure like big SaaS tools or one-off income streams.

The goal is to set them up, give them time to grow, and then maintain them with just a few hours a week.

I’ve started a new short-form newsletter(just 100 Words) for people who are serious about growing small, easily managed online businesses .. check it out!

Why Tiny Businesses Work

1. Diversification: By running multiple small ventures, you spread your risk across various income sources.

2. Minimal Input: Most tiny businesses can be maintained with as little as 30 minutes a few times a week.

3. Scalability: Once established, they can generate passive income, allowing you to scale without sacrificing your time.

Examples of Tiny Businesses

Here are some of the Tiny businesses that I regularly create:

1. Affiliate Marketing: Create mini-courses or content featuring affiliate links. These can generate recurring commissions with little ongoing effort.

2. Membership Communities: Share your expertise in a niche community. For instance, a $19/month membership with 100+ members can become a steady income stream.

3. “Landmines”: Strategically place unobtrusive product links in your content. Over time, these links quietly generate sales.

4. Courses: Treat each course as its own business. Focus on evergreen topics that require minimal updates but deliver consistent value.

5. Free Guides: Offer free reports or guides on platforms like Gumroad, supported by email sequences that upsell premium versions.

The Philosophy Behind Tiny Businesses

Tiny businesses prioritize simplicity, sustainability, and creativity.

They allow you to explore multiple ideas without the stress of all-or-nothing ventures. Each business stands alone, so if one falters, the others keep generating income.

Tiny businesses are the perfect antidote for the overcomplicated business models “Gurus” keep promoting.

Getting Started

Begin by identifying one idea you’re passionate about-something that aligns with your skills and interests. Start small, automate where possible, and focus on creating value. Over time, you’ll build a portfolio of tiny businesses that collectively provide stability and growth.

Tiny businesses aren’t just a strategy-they’re a mindset.

They empower you to create a life that’s financially secure, creatively fulfilling, and, most importantly, manageable on your terms.
