I remember it well, February 2011, a few months earlier all my hard work had paid off and I was generating around $400 a day in Adsense income.
The big time was calling and nothing could stop me, all those years of grinding for pennies had paid off.
I checked my stats one morning, $10 .. WHAAAT!… it must be some mistake, maybe the stats are late updating.
Nope, The Google Panda update had landed, and it wasn’t very cuddly!
Overnight i’d got from over 1,000,000 pages in Goolge to a few hundred.
The First Of Many Setbacks
That was the first of many setbacks, and it taught me a valuable lesson, never rely on one source of online income and always have a Plan B.
Since then there have been all sorts of setbacks some more shady than others (Looking at you Facebook).
