Your Customer Is King… Queen and Jester
As we enter a new year it’s time to raise our glasses to those fine people who are our customers.
If you want more sales in 2022 then treat your followers and subscribers as if they are the most important part of your businesss… because they are!
• Treat everyone as if they are your best customer even if they haven’t spent a cent.
Don’t make the same mistake that many of our colleagues make.
Too many marketers go straight for the sale then if they haven’t made a sale after 7–10 days they lose interest.
The problem with this approach is that most people become customers after 90 days. NINETY DAYS
I had one person on my list finally buy something this year after 6 years as a subscriber… it took a while but eventually, he came around!
If you get 100 subscribers today, one might buy in the next 2 weeks if you then give up nurturing them you’ll miss out on the other 15 sales in the coming months.
The best way to nurture your subscribers is to provide them with great content that will inform and entertain them on a regular basis.
I like to call this Infotainment
The process is simple and a lot can be automated.
• Create a great onboarding sequence
• Email regularly (at least twice a week or they’ll forget about you)
• Educate, Inform and Entertain
• Help people to make progress
Once you start to do that for the long term you’ll start to make more sales than you ever thought possible.
